This past Sunday, we witnessed something incredible: 24 baptisms, 15 of which were spontaneous walk-ups. They chose to respond in the moment to what the Holy Spirit was doing inside them. What struck me most was how each baptism wasn’t just a tradition or ritual. It was a radical proclamation that God’s Kingdom is breaking into the present moment—right here, right now.

What Does Baptism Really Mean?
When Jesus taught His disciples to pray in Matthew 6:9-10, He wasn’t giving them a prayer to memorize and repeat mindlessly. He was teaching them to expect something powerful: “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Here’s the key—God’s Kingdom isn’t just about some distant future. It’s about what God is doing right here and right now. Baptism is a vivid example of that. It’s the moment when someone declares, “I no longer belong to the world. I belong to God’s Kingdom.”
And guess what? That Kingdom is available to all of us today.
Living in God’s Kingdom—Right Now
What does it look like to live as a part of God’s Kingdom right now? It’s about radical faith and surrender. Baptism isn’t just an event; it’s a lifestyle of laying down our old ways and rising into a new life with Christ.
But here’s the thing: that new life comes with both blessings and challenges.
- Radical Surrender
Just like Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, “Your will be done,” we’re invited to surrender our lives to God’s will—whether it’s in our relationships, finances, or day-to-day decisions. - Embrace the Blessings and Challenges of Kingdom Living
Baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong journey. It’s a celebration, yes, but it’s also a call to live differently. The world might not understand the choices we make, but when we live in God’s Kingdom, we reflect His truth, peace, and love. - Respond to God’s Call Right Now
Maybe you’ve been waiting for the right moment to make a big decision—whether it’s surrendering your life to Jesus, being baptized, or committing to something bigger. Here’s the truth: God’s Kingdom isn’t something we wait for. It’s something we live in right now. So what are you waiting for?
